Springer in Chicago

It seems there’s life in the old opera yet. Anti-Jerry Springer: The Opera campaigners won’t be too happy at the news that the lively musical is set to make its US debut next spring in Chicago. The Bailiwick Repertory Theatre will put on the show from May to July.

It will be interesting to see what kind of reaction it will get in the US.

It could be very interesting. I saw “The Life of Brian” when it first came out and there were about 100 people outside the cinema shouting at me that I would die and go to hell if I watch the film, really nice for a 16 year old. Still here though.
Oh I bet the old fundies are just filling their pants at the thought of a demo.

The Americans might have some success in stopping it goning ahead, which is a shame.
