Bad “Bishop” resigns from CCTV
“Bishop” Michael Reid, leader of Michael Reid Ministries and founder of the pro-censorship group the Christian Congress for Traditional Values, has resigned after admitting that he has had an affair.
Both the MR Ministries and CCTV websites have been taken down and replaced with contact details.
The CCTV has been providing us here at MWW with pleasingly whacky Christian fodder since its inception in March 2005. But they really showed their hateful side with their Gay Aim: Abolish the Family campaign which included posters and a video.
How nice that their leader has proven to be a hypocrite as well as a buffoon.

This really pisses me off. This bastard waged the most spiteful campaign against gays for their so-called immorality, employing all manner of lies and slander to paint gays as a threat to Britain, throwing bricks while living in a little glass house of his own. Sickening.
Well, with a name like Mike Reid he was always going to be either a comedian or a dodgy second hand salesman.

Come now Dave, this is fantastic.
Firstly, I saw no evidence at the time that the general public took the CCTV’s hand-flapping seriously, probably because the need to exhume a radical quote from the early ’70s to light the touchpaper spoke volumes for their desperation and cynicism.
Secondly, from now on, any targets of the CCTV will be able to play them at their own game and dig this up from the past!
Oh I am going to have to blog about this. Now do we know any details about with whom he committed adultery with. I’m only curious to know if it’s a guy of a girl, it’s just all the more juicy if it was a guy. There’s more tabloid miles in that, that’s all.

Her name is Sheila Graziano, it’s not a great quality shot as it looks like the only picture they could get was off Google’s image search and the original picture has been removed from the Church’s website.

there’s some pretty hateful comments in here about Michael Reid. Can anyone consider themselves better if they take such delight in his downfall. It could happen to anyone.
